Craftsmanship In Laser Cutting

Laser cutting is a process that uses the energy generated by laser beam focusing to achieve cutting, and it also includes the main process techniques. Each laser-cutting process has its own different characteristics. We can only master it after we master it all. Choose correctly.

1. Vaporization cutting

When the laser is heating, the surface temperature of the material will increase, and eventually, part of the material will be vaporized into steam, and the molten particles and scouring debris generated by the steam will be taken away to form holes. This completes the cutting job.

2. Melting and cutting

This method has some similarities to vapor cutting, but after the material has evaporated to form a cavity, the auxiliary airflow will carry away the molten material around the hole. As the material continues to move, the small hole creates a kerf.

3. Oxidation melting cutting

In this cutting process, oxygen or other reactive gases are mainly used. When a laser beam is irradiated, the others will be ignited and chemical reactions will occur to generate another heat source and accelerate the melting of the material.

4. Control fracture cutting

For some brittle materials, this processing technology is the most suitable, because the laser beam can control the heating temperature, speed, etc., which causes the deformation of the material and the formation of cracks.
